Backyard Goes From Bare Dirt to Stunning Stamped Concrete Patio

A lot of backyards start out the same way - just a flat stretch of grass with nothing to use or enjoy. No place to sit. No place to grill. Nowhere for the kids to play without tracking mud inside. Here's what we were working with: bare dirt along the back of the house, a small builder-grade concrete pad that wasn't doing much, and a whole lot of unused yard. We went with a large flagstone stamp pattern and a rich warm brown color to give it that natural stone look without any of the ongoing maintenance that comes with real stone.
