Every home starts somewhere. And what it starts on matters more than most people realize. Before the framing goes up, before the walls, before any of the finishes you'll eventually pick out - there's the slab. Get that wrong, and nothing built on top of it is safe. Get it right, and the whole build has something solid to stand on for decades.
Here's what we were working with on this one - a full residential foundation prep with forming, vapor barrier, and post-tension cable layout all done before a single yard of concrete was poured. The forming work had to be tight and level. The vapor barrier had to be laid without gaps. The cable runs had to be positioned correctly so the tension system could do its job once the concrete set. None of that is glamorous work, but skipping steps or cutting corners at this stage is how you end up with a slab that cracks, shifts, or settles unevenly over time.
After the pour, what you're left with is a smooth, level concrete slab with anchor bolts set at the perimeter ready for framing. The surface finish is consistent across the whole slab - no low spots, no rough patches. That's not an accident. It's the result of proper prep and a crew that knows what they're doing from the ground up.
We take foundation work seriously because the stakes are high. A slab done right gives framers a clean starting point, gives inspectors nothing to flag, and gives the homeowner peace of mind that their house is sitting on something built to last. That's the whole goal.
If you're planning a new home build and need a concrete foundation done right from the start, this is exactly the kind of work we do. Proper prep, careful execution, and concrete that holds up - that's what we bring to every pour.
