Standing water and mud around a staircase isn't just an inconvenience - it's a liability. At an active industrial facility, that kind of hazard adds up fast. Slips happen. Work slows down. And the longer it goes unfixed, the worse it gets.

Here's what we were working with - saturated ground, zero solid footing near the stair access, and a crew that needed safe, stable ground to do their job. We started by bringing in a mini excavator to clear and grade the area, then set the wood forms and laid a full rebar grid across the entire pad footprint. That grid isn't optional on a job like this. It's what keeps the slab from cracking under load and foot traffic over time.

Once the rebar was tied and the forms were set, we poured and hand-finished the concrete slab right up to the existing structure. Two of our guys worked the surface while the pour was still fresh - troweling it smooth and making sure the edges were tight. That's the kind of detail work that matters when the finished pad needs to tie into an existing concrete foundation and surrounding flatwork cleanly.

Good concrete work at an industrial site has to do more than just look solid. It needs to drain, hold up under daily use, and stay safe when conditions outside aren't ideal. That's what we built here - a functional, reinforced concrete pad that gives the crew solid footing right where they needed it most.

Whether it's a simple concrete slab, a full foundation pour, or flatwork in a tough spot, we handle the whole job - demo, prep, forming, and finish.
